Recurrent miscarriage while ttc #2 or more

I have had the year from hell ttc a sibling for my 3yo boy.
I am currently having my fourth miscarriage since April and am just feeling devastated.
I have had mcs at 4, 5, 11 and 6 weeks and am awaiting an appointment at my local recurrent miscarriage clinic.

Is anyone else in a similar boat or has found themselves suffering MC when they never did while ttc their other children?

I am 35, in good health and a healthy weight and just have no idea why this is happening to me.

So sorry to hear that. We already have children and have just had three miscarriages (two in second trimester) in the space of 12 months. Consultant says it's almost certainly just bad luck. Am pregnant again but too early to know if it's viable or not. It's horrible isn't it x

I'm in the same boat. 35 with almost 3 year old. Started trying almost 2 years ago for a second one. So far mmc at 13 weeks, natural mc at 7 weeks and now another mmc at 16 weeks. Baby always grows perfectly with strong hb and suddenly dies. We are having tests done as i don't believe it is just bad luck. Something has happened in my body after my last pregnancy and it is causing this. I would be scared to go into another pregnancy without testing as chances are it would happen again. Have you had any testing? Alibingo have you?

My first son was born after conceiving the first night we tried. When trying for number 2 I had 3 miscarriages back to back. I had some of the.more basic testing done (was living overseas so self funded) but for us it seemed to be just terrible bad luck. I eventually conceived twins who I didn't miscarry. My Dr had me on blood thinners and 2 different progesterone tablets. I've no idea if theyare the difference or not though. Im.sorry you're going through this, I know how awful it is Flowers

So sorry for your loss. It's really rough. I was in almost exactly same boat as you 2 years ago. (Same age, same number of mcs,had 2 dc already with no problems). It was living hell. I spent Christmas Eve 2015 in hospital having lost the last at 15weeks. Cried my eyes out. Couldn't get pg again for ages and gave up. Currently feeding chubby healthy 8mo ds in bed. He is worth every tear I cried 100 times over, so hang in there and try to have faith.

Goosegettingfat have you had any treatment with your succesful pregnancy? Thank you for giving me hope x

AliBingo · 18/12/2017 10:15

I have had another miscarriage since posting, I was just short of 11 weeks and had seen a heartbeat at 7 weeks :(

Howtosurvive · 18/12/2017 20:00

Oh Alibingo i'm so sorry. Is this happening despite a treatment plan? When did the baby die? Sending lots of love

AliBingo · 19/12/2017 10:29

I don't have any treatment plan, I think my losses are down to age (I am 42). Miscarriage was on 1 December. Just trying to figure out whether to even try again.

Howtosurvive · 19/12/2017 13:26

42 is not seen as old these days. Perhaps you need to have some tests done? Don't give up yet. You may find answers. I'm surprised you haven't been sent to clinic yet after your second loss

AliBingo · 19/12/2017 16:39

Thanks, maybe I need to push a bit for some help. I wasn't sure whether it was just a case of at my age, the eggs are all a bit buggered. The last two where I saw heartbeats, the consultant reckoned it was chromosomal issues.

Howtosurvive · 19/12/2017 16:57

Have they tested them? I often feels it is just an easy option to blame it all on age. And you can improve quality of your eggs with supplements

AliBingo · 20/12/2017 17:20

No, they haven't been tested. I do have children already though, hit 40 and suddenly pregnancies started ending in miscarriage.

I am using Ubiquinol and Zita West Vitafem and Vitafem boost plys EPO first half of cycle, good quality fish oil and a high does folic acid, is there anything else I should be trying? DH using ZW Vitamen.
