Bleeding after miscarriage?

Hi all,

I had a miscarriage 2 weeks ago today at 9+5 (baby measured 6+6 on scan). I passed what I believe was the sac/baby following bad cramping, I had cramping later that day and had lots of jelly like clots (sorry for tmi) then I had like a normal period type bleed for 3 days then nothing for a week. I spotted for a few days and now it’s medium bleeding 2 weeks after the initial miscarriage. Dh and I decided not to try again until I had one or two ‘normal’ periods. Just wondering if this is normal and when I can expect to stop bleeding or have a ‘normal’ period and regulate my body? I haven’t had a pregnancy test/scan since the natural miscarriage so is it possible it was incomplete?

Feel so clueless and wish my body would get back to normal. I’ve had sore boobs today (which oddly I didn’t really get when pregnant)

Firstly, sorry for your loss. I was told that it was considered normal to bleed for up to 2 weeks after miscarriage- I miscarried at 6 weeks. Wasn’t too much bleeding, thought it had stopped but then it started again (more like spotting) which I found very annoying as also just wanted to go back to normal again instead of having a constant reminder. Anyway hospital told me that as I was within the 2 weeks not to worry and was asked to do a pregnancy test 2 weeks post miscarriage. Did my test, still said positive so was asked to go in for another scan - all had passed, just took a little longer for my htc levels to come down (did test the following week and was negative).

If you have been bleeding more than 2 weeks ask for a scan and do the test if they ask you to. I got my AF back day 29 after miscarriage which I found surprising as thought it would be longer. All I have learnt is, all women are different so there is no fixed rule... if worried definitely get checked.
