Do all miscarriages have clots?

Sorry for the horrible questions just can’t seem to find the answers online anywhere and don’t want to keep ringing the EPU.

I opted for a natural miscarriage after finding out yesterday my baby had passed 3 weeks ago at 6+6. I was told to call back on Friday if I hadn’t had significant bleeding and clots.

I’ve had what started as spotting Friday then on Sunday I had excruciating pain still spotting. Monday the scan showed it was in my cervix so should be passed soon. Last night I had awful pain still spotting. Then this morning awoken to intense pain and heavy bleeding no clots. The pain was so bad that the EPU advised I come in but am keen to stay home so had codeine prescribed instead. Luckily that’s stopped the pain but I’m still heavy bleeding and haven’t passed any clots.

Sorry it’s long winded but just wondering if I definitely should have clots? Just hopeful it would be over today with the amount of pain I’ve had

The 'clots' are the foetus and sac. So if you haven't had any you need to report it. Or risk infection.
Sorry for your loss..
I mc at 6 weeks at home alone and saw a clear foetus and sac. .

Gonna sound grim but not long after this I felt the ‘clot’ (sac) and I saw it in tact so hope that’s it over with now. I don’t know why but I thought it would have broken down and just look like a heavy period clotting not like the size I saw and in tact. Sorry for the tmi

Also sorry for your loss Santa I’ve mainly been alone too due to my partner looking after our ds as didn’t want him to see the distress I was in
