Hello lovelies,

Anyone had a D&C or 'SMM' so that the pregnancy can be sent off to be tested? They sent mine off to be tested just in case it was molar pregnancy. How long did you wait for your results?

Love xx

Am so sorry Apple. Mine took a few weeks. I received a letter via post to confirm that it was indeed products of conception.

It was nearly three years ago and I would also say a few weeks. Because it was a third MC in a row it was sent away and I then had a consultant appnt to discuss the results. The baby was found to have Downs and it passed away just before 12 weeks.

Thinking of you 💐💐

Tigermeoom · 15/09/2017 11:59

oh gosh don't worry about the name apple!
Yes they checked if it was a molar pregnancy.
As it was my first MC they didn't check for anything else unlike for Sleep above ^^
Am sorry sleep Flowers

Take care of yourself as it's heartbreaking as it is.

Thank you so much ladies xx

I have coped so well up until today xx had the D & C on Monday xx The sonographer said she had 'never seen anything like this before in her 16 years of sonography', (great) she said it didn't look typically molar but was very unusual so they are checking xx

apple I hope they can give you a reason for your loss,

I found it difficult at first and then much better as I had an explanation. I did go on to have a successful pregnancy but then recently another late loss due to another chromosome issue. My age is a huge factor so it kind of cokes with the territory for me but it's still horribly painful xx

*comes

Standingcat · 19/09/2017 20:36

Took about five weeks to get the letter, south east of England

PlayOnWurtz · 19/09/2017 21:58

Sorry for your loss. Mine took 6 months and we only picked them up today which is frankly disgusting. We were told they're supposed to be through in 12 weeks.

PlayOnWurtz · 19/09/2017 21:59

Like sleep we found out our baby had downs and they're thinking it's a translocation issue rather than a spontaneous mutation with us.

GotToGetMyFingerOut · 19/09/2017 22:08

Hi, really sorry, I had a complete molar pregnancy. They pretty much confirmed from my hcg levels being 300,000 and the scan that it was molar. But took about two weeks for confirmation.

If you have any questions I will try answer them.

Thank you all sooooo much for your replies xxx love you all

I ended up calling today as it is nearly 3 weeks. They then called me back an hour later with my results.... I found out the strange mass seen on ultrasound was 'products of conception'. My hormone levels were very high too - they are surmising it could have been a twin pregnancy that never really got going. but not a molar pregnancy.

xxxxx
