Think I'm on my way to a fourth miscarriage

Yesterday was cd 24 & I had a really strange bleed, like a small gush of fresh blood with cramping. I did a frer last night & it showed a faint positive. Today, no more blood & another faint positive. Period type cramps all day. Boobs not at all sore, as they have been the other times. I went to the recurrent miscarriage clinic today & they gave me a hcg injection ( consultant said weekly injections if I get a positive hpt). There's no point doing any more hpt's because they'll show a positive due to the hcg injection & it's slow release. They said they could scan me at 6 weeks. I'm 3 weeks now. I'm cramping & waiting. Miscarriage Groundhog Day. Just wanted to vent.

Oh no, so sorry to hear this. Have you had any tests for recurrent miscarriage yet? You're eligible on the NHS after three losses.

Yes I am under the care of the recurrent miscarriage clinic & they recommended the hcg injections as the miscarriages are likely to be due to not enough hcg being released to maintain the pregnancy.

Is there anyone else taking these injections?

I've never heard those suggested. Are you in the U.K. or overseas? Hope everything is going well this weekend.

I'm in the UK & I think it is common practice from what the consultant told me. No it's not going well. I am cramping & spotting. I am worried that the injection will delay an inevitable miscarriage or even lead to another missed miscarriage

Oh dear, so sorry to hear that. Hope all goes well today and you can get help from the consultant or early pregnancy unit tomorrow.
