Hi, I'm new to this but just wanted to talk to someone who has maybe experienced this, I 've had 3 miscarriages, 2 in the last 8 months, I accept this and I think that's because i already have 2 wonderful children and am very lucky but would like another with my new partner, has anyone had 3 and gone on to have a child? I'm hoping we stand a chance xx

I'm so sorry for your losses.

I had five miscarriages and finally had DD in May. I also have two older dc from a previous marriage.

Have you been referred to specialists? After my fifth miscarriage I finally asked for help they couldn't work out why I had miscarried but during my last pregnancy I was prescribed progesterone for the first three months of pregnancy and baby aspirin, I was also monitored a lot more and had scans every two weeks from five weeks pregnancy.

Ask for a referral for investigations, and ask about support for future pregnancy.

I hope things work out for you. xx

I've had 11 miscarriages and have now got two healthy children but had two very bad pregnancies which resulted in me being in intensive care. I would love more babies but we made the difficult decision to not have any more. I can't offer any real advice but wanted to say I'm sorry this has happened to you x

So sorry to hear about everyone's losses. MrsC2000 did you do anything differently in your successful pregnancies?

Sorry you've had to go through this.
Like you I have an older DC so my 3 miscarriages were devastating and unexplained.

5th pregnancy I took 75mg aspirin and was really closely monitored by my EPU with lots of reassurance scans (i had a little bleeding). I went off work sick from 8wks till 12wks because I was a complete anxious wreck and watched box sets mainly. DS was born at term following a normal pregnancy. Who knows if any of it helped, I don't think I could've carried on trying if it hadn't worked and was definitely a factor in stopping at 2 DC

Hi thank you all for your replys, we are having tests at the moment, I 've had blood tests and tomorrow we have having a hsg, they say it's unlikely they will find a reason for the miscarriages and if I do get pregnant again they will monitor me closely but I'm not sure how that will help, we will give it one more go but if that doesn't work we will stop, I feel, for us, that the stress is too much and it affects every area of our life, it does help to hear that others go through this and are successful in the end. I'm sorry for all your losses xxx

I felt really alone IRL and mumsnet was a real support during my anxious times.
The tests hopefully will come back clear and next time I really hope it's a sticky bean. I'm not sure if the aspirin was a placebo effect and a pharmacist freaked me out when I was getting over the counter heartburn stuff saying it can cause heart defects in babies but I carried on taking it first and second trimester and that along with rest was the only thing I did different.
Good luck x
