Ovulation and period advice please after miscarriage

Hi, I'm really confused about my ovulation after dnc operation. I had the op on 4th July and bled for 13 days, this ended 17th. I used ovulation sticks and it said I was at peak ovulation on the 28th so 8 days after that. But I then had brown blood for 4 days. Not sure if this was my period. But then I have used ovulation sticks and it says I'm ovulating again today! How can this be? has anyone experienced ovulation tests not being correct or experienced similar?
I never know when I'm ovulating normally because I don't get clear sticky discharge, it's only a little white and a little sticky.
Can anyone help please? Miscarriage is awful enough but not knowing what's going on with my body is horrible too.

I can't give any advice really but I'm in a similar situation waiting for AF to appear so I know where the heck I'm up to. I've heard similar accounts on mumsnet about af taking 4-6 weeks to show up, although I don't know if that's from the beginning of the MC or end?! Good luck

Hi banana, really sorry to hear your going through this as well. Thanks for the information. Yeah I have heard that too. I was thinking it was 6 weeks after stopping bleeding following dnc operation. But I'm unsure. Suppose will just have to keep an eye on what's going on with our bodies and maybe see doctor if af doesn't come along soon.

You can ovulate twice in a month - also you can get false peaks of LH and FSH which Peak but don't release an egg.

It's not that the tests aren't correct - the test only shows the presence of a certain amount of hormone and they have a vanishingly low false positive rate. It's just that LH rise isn't a direct indicator of ovulation, it's more of a harbinger /secondary predictor. So a line on the stick means you will probably ovulate within x timeframe but it isn't a direct readout.

It's also possible to release two eggs even on a normal cycle, so in he hormonal chaos post MC who knows... :(

Did AF arrive? I'm wondering the same thing - I've not been using opks as I had no idea when to use them but I am waiting (im)patiently for af. I had the beginnings of a natural mc then 2 days later ended up in hospital being d&c'd. That was over 5 weeks ago and I've not had a hint of anything yet!

It really is a nightmare trying to work it out! I'm 5 weeks post medical miscarriage today. When I went into hospital within half an hour I passed everything, bleed and spotted for 4/5 days after and 10 days post medical miscarriage I had a negative pregnancy test.

Thought I was getting ovulation pains, neverchad them before and going off that I should of come on 4 weeks after. It's 5 weeks now and still nothing. Had some PMt symptoms today, and last week. But honestly not got a clue what's going on with my body

I should of been 10 weeks when I miscarried but scan showed baby stopped growing about 8 weeks. I have no idea now when to expect period- they said at hospital 4-6 weeks after miscarriage but does that mean immediately after medical treatmemt or is it 4/6 weeks after bleeding has stopped or 4-6 weeks after getting a negative pregnancy test? So confused!
