Please can anyone help.
Today as a family we've lost a beautiful angel at over 20weeks. We want to organise funeral however angel was born with legs fused so unable to determine gender. Hospital advised they can do tests but will take upto 12 weeks for results. Does anyone know if this can be done private and if so where as we want to say goodbye to angel with an identity xx thank you xx

I can't help I'm afraid. Hoping this will bump your post, so someone who knows will post.

I don't know whether this can be done privately although my own experience was that private hospitals didn't have the specialist knowledge and skills to carry out the tests and procedures that we wanted for our unborn daughter. For us, naming her and giving her an identity both before and after she died (stillborn at 32 weeks) were very important. I hope that you find a way to find out sooner or to cope with the wait. And finally, and most importantly, I'm so sorry that you are having to deal with such a tragic loss. Be kind to yourself and your partner
