Is this normal? Anyone has similar experience?

Warning TMI!

I had heavy pain on Saturday morning, lasted for about 2-3 hours, I think I passed some small clots (2-3 max) while on the toilet but I haven't got anything on the pads. Bleeding wasn't bad just mild period type bleeding. After the Saturday's morning I stopped all pain and just have minor cramps here and there, bleeding continues to be medium.

Just came back from EPU scan and the doctor confirmed the sac has gone, there is nothing of the pregnancy left but a few blood clots in the uterus. The EPU make an appointment to come back in 2 weeks for a follow up.

I knew of the miscarriage this but just hearing them confirming everything has gone broke my heart again and could control my crying. The sac with the baby has passed completely unnoticed by me, I thought it would be a lot more visual and obvious than that. Especially from reading the miscarriage experience of many others on this forum and babycenter.

I kept asking the doctor to be sure in case she overlooked something but she was very certain that all has gone from the ultrasound scan.

Did anyone have similar experience (i.e. mild bleeding, horrendous pain put not a lot of clots)?

I miscarried at 9 weeks and baby was measure around 8 weeks.

I'm sorry for your loss Flowers

I never caught anything on a pad at 8 wks mc. It all passed when I was on the loo. I think we don't really estimate how much can pass. It did carry on daily (not as heavy) for a couple of days after and then small amounts a few days after that. The main sac etc was passed the first day. I had nothing really till the following afternoon - I thought I was done and quite upset I wasn't.

So I'm still bleeding after the doc confirmed "nothing left except some blood clots". Bleeding has tone down ( it not spotting, still red blood) and I would go for 4-5 hours without any bleeding. But what I'm worried is I've been having moderate cramps since yesterday morning. It comes and but they are not mild, I'm not rolling on the floor due to pain either but they are painful enough.

Are these cramps normal (after doc confirm the miscarriage is completed) and how long they last?

I'm sorry lee. Yes I found they came in phases. So after the first lot that was most of the mc, I had none till the next afternoon. Then some more the next lunchtime. Each phase lasted around 4 to 2 hours. I felt quite faint too.

I remember still having some 4-5 days afterwards, after which I got used to them/ they lessened. I do think I continued to have a few for a week but the later days were much easier and nothing to think about really.

I bled progressively less for a week after which I spotted for a week or so. I know I ovulated 2 weeks after the mc then had a period 28 days.

I hope you feel better soon. Be kind to yourself Flowers
