No signs!?

Hi,
I'm due at the EPU tomorrow for my NHS scan so show my miscarriage as I've had 2 private scans that show my embryo stopped growing at 5-6 weeks and I should be 8-9.
My concern is I've had NO signs at all, no pain, cramp or blood. I still feel pregnant but everything stopped about 2-3 weeks ago?
How long did it take others? I'm hoping to have the D&C because I'm worried my body isn't getting the hint and I don't want anything to happen in front of my son.
Any advice on other people's time scale and their choice of procedures would be great.
X

I'm so sorry, it's a horrible shock to find out that you've had a mmc.

I've had three, at various gestations, and I had no signs with any of them, no bleeding or cramps in the two/three week wait for follow up scans and surgery either.

I've had surgery every time, twice under local and once under general anaesthetic. All the procedures were fine, but the emotional side obviously took a lot longer to get over.

So sorry OP Flowers. My body held on for 6-7 weeks with no sign so personally I'd opt for the D&C.

I'm so sorry Sad. My first miscarriage was a missed miscarriage and I didn't find out until my three month scan. Foetus had stopped growing around 6/7 weeks but was still in there with no signs of the loss at 13 weeks. I had two courses of medical management that didnt work and then a d and c at about 16 weeks. I'd opt for the d and c if you have a choice. Again so sorry for your loss. Take care of yourself.

Thank you ladies that's very helpful. I'm very lucky, I've had a lovely first pregnancy and I've got a gorgeous little boy, he has kept my husband and I going. He doesn't like me looking at forums but your answers have been really helpful. I'm at the EPU today...
