hi there. I had an emergency D and C on 25th April for a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks. Since then I had a normal period. Now I'm on my second period and its really really heavy with episodes of huge clots. I'm on day 6 now. day 1 and 2 were normal. Day 3 I was passing massive clots and loads of blood intermittently. Ended up going to the hospital who prescribed me cyklokapron to reduce the haemorhaging but told me I just have to ride it out basically. Day 4 and 5 were normal again. I'm now on day 6 and the clotting and bleeding has ramped up again, so much so i cant go to work. Has anyone experienced this and how long did it last? Thanks in advance

Hi!

I just saw your post as I was about to post about something related but further down the line...

I had D&C early April and then normal period in early may. Second period started end of may (I know, wtf?!) and is still going. Coming up on five weeks now.

It's heavier than any bleeding I've ever had before - including one live birth and the immediate aftermath of the D&C.

I know how you feel - like there MUST be something wrong to cause this, but I've been to the dr a couple of times now and been told the same: ride it out. Apparently five weeks of solid bleeding isn't anything to worry about.

Finally last week they put me on progesterone which seems to have helped a bit.

I really hope yours stops soon, but know you're not alone!

Its so annoying isnt it, I'm hoping it doesnt last so long.
Its steady most of the time but then I get these big surges and clots and no towel or anything can deal with it- sorry TMI!
I'll give it a bit longer and ask about progesterone too. I really never thought there would be so much physical effects to deal with in an early miscarriage.
I also never even bled like this after I had my daughter.
Best wishes to you and hope yours improves!
