Cysts and miscarriage

Hi Mums. Just had a miscarriage at 9 weeks (sac stopped at 5). Have been told I have functional cysts on each ovary. Have been told not to worry?!! They'll check again in a few weeks to make sure and we shouldn't try again until after the check up. I've never heard of functional cysts. Does anyone else have any experience with them? Do they just go away on their own? Do they impact your fertility? Sorry for all the questions and thanks in advance for any advice!

Hi, I really don't know the exact stats or anything, but believe they're quite common- I had cysts on both ovaries after my last miscarriage- one they were concerned about in particular- 4 weeks later at re-scan, gets both resolved. I know we are all different, but hope that helps. Sorry for your loss x

They are called corpus luteum cysts and they are completely normal

I had cysts on one ovary that was detected at an early scan after experiencing lots of pain - my baby is now 15 weeks old so it hasn't affected me - good luck for the future x
