Miscarrying as I type...

Good evening

Wednesday eve I had a shooting pain through my belly and 3 through my buttocks/back.

Thursday my back ached like crazy and I had a dull period ache

Friday, I bled pink blood while wiping and brown blood all day.

Saturday (today) the red blood has started, quite a lot when I wipe.
I don't have loads of cramps yet just a very pressured feeling and a few mild cramps in my pelvic area?

I am absolute devastated and I am alone.

My boyfriend left me just before I found out I was pregnant and he doesn't want this baby/hasn't spoken to me since and said he would never be a part of the babies life.

I am scared to go to sleep as I don't know what I will wake up to, how much pain, when the baby will pass, what to do all all.

I can't stop crying.

Can anyone offer me some advice please.

I'm so sorry, sounds like you're having an awful time of it at the moment. Have you spoken to your midwife yet?

Have you spoken to doctor/been to hospital?

I've never been in your situation and so don't really have any advice other than whatever happens tomorrow, however you feel you will be more able to cope if you try and get some sleep.

Also I didn't want you to feel so alone. People are always there. Somewhere. Just look for them and get some support x

I'm so sorry to hear you are going through this.
When I miscarried I found alternating paracetamol and ibuprofen kept the pains down along with a hot water bottle if you can stand it in this warmth.

My understanding is that times vary for how long it can all take. I think I passed the embryo after 2 days of bleeding. I was on the toilet and felt it happen. It didn't hurt physically but it was mentally quite tough. I didn't see it properly because I couldn't bare to look.
Do you have anyone at all in RL that you can get some support from as well as the handholding you can get from MN.

At 9 weeks my miscarriage felt like a very heavy period. With the actual main passing not really hurting at all. I just felt very drained.

I was 10 weeks Friday.

I am sure all the I have been under has caused this.

I will tell my mum shortly but I hate worrying her, especially on Fathers Day.

I went to the EPU on Friday but they said there is no one at all there to scan until Monday so I won't find anything else out until then.

A couple more questions if I may?

Was the bright red blood heavy at all times or did it stop and start?

How long before the actual cramps started before you saw the bright red blood?

I managed to get a couple of hours sleep, no going to get up but I am so scared to go to the toilet.

OP I'm so sorry you are going through this with so little support. Speak to your mum, I'd be devestated for my DD to go through this alone for fear of ruining Father's Day:(

Nothing you did or no level of stress you've been under caused this. Don't even think like that because it's simply not the case.

Hopefully someone else can help you now with the practical questions you asked above.

I had the same three weeks ago, at the same point in my pregnancy as you. For me, the bright red blood came after a couple of days. Once it had started it was heavy for a week or so, then lighter before eventually stopping after two weeks. The bright red stage didn't stop and start but the browser, lighter end stages did come and go. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry you are going through this. I have had 7 miscarriages 6-14 weeks. They were all different. It wont be due to stress. Put simply it will be that it couldn't develop any further due to lack of genetic information. Women have babies in unbelievable stressful situations- war, famine,abuse. Please don't blame yourself or your feelings for your loss.
You may pass a recognisable sac. I think mine was a bit bigger than a ping pong ball at that stage. or it may be blood and clots.
Some have been very painful and taken a few days . Others have been over in a couple of hours. Make sure you have a scan to check there is nothing let that could cause infection. I am so sorry you have had such a difficult and sad time recently. give yourself time to heal and work through your feelings. it can be a very lonely time.

I have back ache today, a heavy pelvic area and like a stretching feeling down both of my sides... I guess this is the cramping starting?

I also forgot to mention that I am B RH neg.
I have been offered no Anti D. Do you think I will be okay until tomorrow morning when I go to the EPU?

So sorry you are going through this. It is awful! Definitely take some painkillers and rest up.

I miscarried in Feb and mines started with a really bad back ache. Doc said all was fine. Started red spotting a day later which then progressed to heavy red bleeding. It was alternating from heavy to light to almost none then I passed the embryo at night, I didn't have any pain other than the back pain for 1 night and I didn't have any pain when passing baby although it was extremely devastating to see.

I'd definitely go to your epu tomorrow and arrange a scan and blood work.

I started bleeding bright red blood for 8 days before it started to taper off and I continued to bleed for another week.

The cramps just before the bleeding started.

Please phone your mum OP, you shouldn't be alone at this time.

So it was confirmed this morning that I had lost my baby. I was 10 weeks pregnant on Friday when i started bleeding. Well so I thought anyway.
I had to have an internal scan and that did show the sac but with nothing in. My baby didn't make it, it didn't develop.
I'm now waiting for this to pass naturally.

I am so devastated and I can't stop crying. I'm off work and I don't feel like I can go back anytime soon. Nobody there knows I was pregnant.

My partner left me just before we found out I was pregnant, he had said that he was having nothing to do with the baby and wanted me to have an abortion. I haven't spoken to him since.
I'm sure he will now be happy to know I've lost the baby.

So not only am I still upset over my boyfriend leaving me, I am now absolutely devastated that my baby has gone.
I wanted this baby so much, it wasn't planned but when I found out I was pregnant I was over the moon. I was ready to bring my baby up alone.

What makes matters worse if I can't even try again once the bleeding has stopped.

I feel so alone and I just don't know how I can get over this.

I'm so sorry. Don't rush back to work before you feel ready. Is there someone who could keep you company?

So sorry to hear this 😔. Your emotions will be very raw for a while. I felt like you do now and thought I would never get over it. 4 months on I've not gotten over it but I've learned to cope better.

Do you have a good support network around you? It really helps to talk about your feelings and get it all out. Take all the time you need to grieve. Maybe take a few days off work to rest and gather your thoughts.
