... I wasn't given any further information after that. Is it safe to assume everything has passed, then?

I had a similar experience although everything had been explained in advance and the nurses were very good in their bedside manner.
I was discharged in less than 3 hours of the procedure but felt fine and had eaten.

I assumed that if there had been complications then I wouldn't have been let out so soon.

You can bleed after d&c for up to 3 weeks I was told.

I had D&C yesterday and basically discharged myself after I had used the toilet and eaten. Bleeding similar to normal period maybe slightly heavier and some cramping. I feel ok today just took some pain relief before I slept.

Presh1234 · 15/06/2017 16:59

Had one today and no cramps, no bleeding, slight spotting and now I'm freaking out!! Again.

Eeeeek2 · 15/06/2017 17:01

Presh why are you freaking? If it's because of not much bleeding I didn't have much at all about 10 days of spotting and blood when wiping

Presh1234 · 15/06/2017 17:08

Thinking that it's all building up inside and I'm going to have to face a gush and flood which is why I opted for it in the first place. Have just checked my notes and it said "ERPC suction". Are these two thing different?

Cocoloon · 15/06/2017 17:54

@presh1234 ERPC is same thing - I know it's hard to stay calm etc just bodies react differently - any queries did the unit who discharge you leave their number?

Eeeeek2 · 15/06/2017 18:31

They've removed everything inside you, well they've tried to they sometimes miss a bit. Erpc is the same as a d&c. You might not get anymore bleeding than what you're getting now, I didn't.

If you are worried about seeing a baby then don't because it's already been removed.

Take care of yourself and give yourself time to heal

I hardly bled at all after surgery for my mmc. Everything went back to normal immediately and I conceived again 2 months later. Try not to panic, it sounds like you're physically recovering well but take time out to recover emotionally x

I hardly bled at all after mine - spotting for about a week but mainly on wiping - if you're worried though do give them a call Flowers
