Hi all

I miscarried 2 weeks ago and was scanned the next day still showing rpoc and was told to go home the rest should pass naturally. The sac etc was gone. I continued to bleed for a week and then it went to brown blood, now I have yellow/clear CM 😏😏😏 no idea if that's normal.

I was told to take a pregnancy test in 3 weeks but I took one today 5 days early because we want to book to go away as my husbands Gran is really ill and lives abroad. We wanted to go but it would be the day after I am supposed to take the test. I'm just so confused as to why it's still positive. It's a very faint positive.

But what happens? If there is still remaining products will I need a d&c?

I really feel I have been through enough pain.

Please help xx

You will still have pregnancy hormones that will show up on the test. I think they say 3 weeks as it is more likely that the hormone levels will have gone down by then. If they haven't by then and you're still showing as positive then you could get checked out then.

I did the test Saturday, Tuesday and today and it's not got any lighter

And I should have said, sorry for your loss. I've been there and it's awful. My hormone levels were still high for a couple of weeks - I was still getting morning sickness.

thankyou. If it's still faint positive like my photo at 3 weeks what would that mean - I need a d&c?

Hi OP I'm so sorry for your loss. If you're still getting a positive after 3 weeks give epu a call and they might suggest a scan to see if any of your pregnancy has been retained. That's pretty faint though so I would hope it will be clear by 3 weeks.

I'm so sorry Flowers I've just been through the same thing and it's devastating

So sorry you are going through this. It did take me about 4 weeks I think to get a negative test and I had the MVA, so it does seem about right what you are saying. Keep in touch with the EPU for reassurance though, and they can give you the right advice Flowers

I'm pleased things are getting back to normal for you physically at least! Flowers
