Worried about miscarriage/eptooic pregnancy

Hi,
I'm probably worrying about nothing but I'm 5wks and 6days with my first baby. I'm 37 and terrified about miscarriage/eptopic pregnancy. I've experienced the period pains/cramping but today I've had severe lower back pain and now have a medium pain in my lower right abdomen area. Is this normal? I read lower back pain can be a sign of miscarriage. No bleeding or spotting. Help?

Cramps and discomfort during pregnancy is normal as things begin to stretch and shift to make room. I wouldn't be massively worried unless the pain becomes intense or you experience any bleeding. It's completely understandable you're panicking - I get it. It's a scary time! I would just try to relax and take your mind off things though, and monitor over the next few days. Best of luck to you x

I'm 5 weeks and I feel the same. I have a retroverted uterus so all my pain is in the back. Got a few left sided sharp pains today in my back which made me a bit worried. However, I've had a big poo and it's fine now! You should book a private 6 week early scan to put your mind at ease. I will be doing that. They're about £90, but that's a bargain for peace of mind. Plus, I'm not drinking / going out.
