Advice for private tests

Hi,
Started ttc in oct 15, got pg straight away then had an early mc. Took a long time after that and finally got pg end of jan this year but now had a missed mc at 10 weeks, heartbeat stopped at 9 weeks. I also had an ectopic 11 years ago but they put that down to having a coil which apparently I shouldn't have been advised to have at such a young age (21.)
Everyone has said this is just bad luck but I'm wondering if we should pay privately for tests to see if there's any reason why this has happened. I was seeing a consultant prior to falling this time and had several tests for fertility which all came back normal. Just wondering if anyone had any advice as I just don't know where to go from here. Thanks

Do your medical records include all 3 losses now? If so, you should be automatically referred to a recurrent miscarriage clinic, if you're in the UK.

They will run tests there and it shouldn't take too long or cost anything as it's a normal NHS service.

You could call the Miscarriage Association for some advice on tests, whether through the NHS or private. They have a lot of useful online resources www.miscarriageassociation.org.uk

You might find the thread on TTC post miscarriage in Conception helpful. It's the loveliest bunch of women who've all been through similar experiences and can really understand what you're going through.

3 of us are under RMC clinics now and have been swapping notes.

Thank you for the advice. I hope it's just bad luck but worry what if it's not. They said that it only counts as two because an ectopic is different and they have no way of knowing if it would have been successful or not. Do you have the link the other board? Thank you
