Am I being too cautious?

I miscarried naturally seven weeks ago and had a period two weeks ago. However I'm still spotting. I've had negative pregnancy tests since 4 weeks post miscarriage so assume all ok. However I had doctors apt for peace of mind earlier this week and she said it's cycle just settling down and to give it 2-3 months and come back then if still happening.

However we're keen to ttc again soon and I think I'm getting close to ovulating (monitoring with OPKs) but would you hold off until spotting finishes or just go for it? Wondering if I'm being too cautious holding off for another cycle?
