Period after miscarriage

Hi Everyone.

I am today 29 days past my MVA for my baby that I lost. I stopped bleeding about 8 days ago. I think my period has started today. Does that sound right? Should it come 4 weeks after my MVA or 4 weeks after the bleeding has finished?

Things go all haywire after a mc and there is no such thing as normal for a few months. Others may have more specific advice but I'd just... well, I almost said go with the flow, but that would be a dreadful pun. Take things easy and use contraception if you're not wanting to try again straight away.

I posted a really similar thread about a week ago and got some ace responses.

So, I ended up with a surgical conclusion to my MC on 8 Aug.

My period arrived this week, 12 Sept.

If I take 8 August as day 1 of my period, that's 35 days and it's not far off my "normal" 32 day cycle.

It's different in that it's quite heavy but light coloured, and it doesn't feel blobby like normal periods. It's really settling down now and I suspect it'll be gone by Monday. So that'd make my period last the usual week.

I hope this helps you understand that it'll be a bit different and take a bit longer to appear. But if you are concerned go directly to your GP.
