What to expect after a failed embryo transfer?

Keeping it short. Just tested negative after a 5 day FET. What should i expect? Is it like a heavy period? Really not looking forward to the event. I've gone through two D&Cs over the past year! Will it just happen once i stop all my meds? Thanks in advance.

I have had a couple of failures and each is similar to a normal period, maybe a bit heavier. Usually start a day or two after stopping meds. The emotional and mental fall out is far worse than the physical for me.

Look after yourself, be kind to each other and ride it out -don't make any big decisions yet

Does anyone know if you can just try again after a failed FET with the start of my next period? I didn't down regulate with this one, just medicated to stop ovulation. Hate the limbo and months wasted!

My understanding is you can just go again. May differ from clinic to clinic though, best phone and ask. Good luck

I went straight into another try the month after a failed FET - the result is asleep upstairs now. Ours was an unmedicated cycle, just a trigger shot for ovulation. Good luck.
