5 weeks after d&c pregnancy test positive

hi all, i had my d&c 5 weeks ago. i had a negative test 2 weeks ago but yesterday i had a positive. i rang my hosiptal and they called me in to take bloods, my hcg level was 256, im going back tomorrow to have it re took. im worried whats going on, has anyone else experienced anything similar?? help im going mad!

Sounds like you could be pregnant again.

i would be over the moon if i was as i had a blighted ovum and been so devastated, but dont want to get my hopes up incase i just had a dodgy test 2 weeks ago

5 weeks is quite a long time to be having a positive test.

I had a positive test 2 weeks after my miscarriage and then negative. Hopefully your levels have doubled when you go back tomorrow .

Thank you. i had d&c on 20th jan, i was admitted to hospital on the 22nd jan with retained tissue and given medication, was the offered scans to check nothing left, they confirmed everything was back to pre pregnancy so i know i definitely dont have any pregnancy left. just hope my hcg levels havent gone up for no reason, cant wait till tomorrow

Hi I just had miscarriage 8 days before at 9 weeks according to LMP.. I started to have brown discharge went to hospital had to get rogham shots it continued for a week and after that when I went to see the doc... she told my baby died at 6.5 weeks no HB... so had a D&C she first told my fetal pole is formed n on next ultrasound she told I have a blighten ovum ... after miscarriage I am experiencing brown discharge again from day one cant really understand whats going on? Why did I have brown discharge before n why I am having it again ... brown discharge after miscarriage is understandable but why before? And.... when I should I strt TTC again ... I really really want to try asap as I feel thts the only thing tht cam bring me back to liveliness...

I also have been through a miscarriage 7weeks was told no hb, I had d&c done still bleeding. I can't wait to start again but all goes well and the same for all of you out there.
