Hiya....this may or may not be of any interest to anyone...but just in case it DOES help anyone, its worth posting :)

I am severely needle-phobic...have absolute melt-downs/panic attacks/vomitting - the works!!

Today I had an ERPC and happened to mention my phobia to the anaesthetist...and he administered gas for me to breathe to send me to sleep in the theatre. I was asleep before he inserted the cannula in my hand... which made a huge difference to the whole experience for me. The gas is not horrible...smells quite sweet and pleasant.

Worth asking for any fellow "needle-phobes" :)

(I'm sorry - I know how pathetic I sound Blush )
