Am I silly to still hope?

Feeling a bit silly and cross with myself, talk some sense into me please.
I went for a scan last week, LMP dates were 7 weeks, but scan showed a sac only and US tech said it measured 5 weeks. I did get a late bfp so I still had some hope at that point. Started spotting which then stopped but now for the last 3 days I've had period like bleeding.
EPAU won't see me without referral from midwife or doc so booking in with midwife today to hopefully persuade her to refer me.

Should I just accept it's over?

Thanks sidiaro the midwife said much the same.
I've got a scan on Tuesday now so I guess I'll know one way or the other soon!
