Am I MC?

Hi,

Sorry I know some of you on here are going through some awful times, so I feel silly writing this, but I really need some help.

I am not sure if I am having a MC?
We have just completed IVF and found out last week we were successful, yay! But now, the past few days I have had some spotting, def dark brown discharge. Being old blood I ignored it stayed in denial.
However I think there are now a few spots of fresh blood but tbh I can't be sure. I am having cramps but they feel light (I have had heavier period cramps). I am hiding at home today but I think that's making it worse as I can't distract myself with work. I feel fine so far, usual sore boobs, nausea etc but I can't make head nor tale of it.
If it helps, this is only happening in the morning. It stops by the afternoon.
I am only 5 weeks & 1 day so they won't scan me till 6 weeks & 2 days which feels ages away

Hi, from my experience of having had 3 m/c, I think it is only spotting which is normal. I think the fact that you are still feeling sick and have sore boobs, would indicate to me that everything is ok (but of course I am no doctor)

When I had my m/c my symptoms disappeared a few days before I had the bleeding.

Fingers crossed for you, but I think you can still be positive that it will work out for you.

I am sure you are stressed, you should take yourself out for a walk as thinking about it at home will only distress you.

Spotting can happen over a few weeks.

I think you are fine .... I found pregnancy symptoms disappeared before bleeding and cramps .... You might just be having hormone surge in the morning.

I had lots of spotting and bleeding whilst pregnant with my 13 month old daughter but none in the pregnancy before that which ended in mc. Of course only your scan will give you certainty but spotting in early pregnancy is very common and doesn't mean there is a problem. The fact you have morning sickness/sore boobs is very promising.
