Hello,

I've recently had a second miscarriage, and during my recovery I've developed pain on my right lower side, into my hip and around my back. The pain started about two weeks ago, and is starting to keep me up at night because it hurts to lay down on. I've tried painkillers but it doesn't really ease it. Does this sound like it could be an ovarian cyst? I'm really worried that because it's hurting it's going to burst. I had a follow up scan from my miscarriage about 6 weeks ago and this showed no cysts.

Has anyone else had anything similar to this? I've been referred to gynae but the wait is another 4 weeks.

Thank you xx

It could be a functional cyst. I had one after a MC a few years agom. They are nothing to worry about and go away on their own but you have to get a scan to rule out a cyst of any sort.
4 weeks is too long.
Either ring gynae every day to see if there is a cancellation or ring GP to send you up to imaging department now for a scan. I would go with the latter. Get a scan now and keep your appt for gynae in 4 weeks.
