Thoughts on anniversaries?

Today would have been my eldest child's 24th birthday. It still hits me every year, I still think/wonder what they would have been like. At this point I wonder if they'd have gone to uni, if I'd be a gran now...

Anyone else still feel like this many years later?

I lost 3 angels and have my rainbow, but was also unable to have any more due to complex medical issues.

I am so sorry for your loss of your first child. I am only 6 months down the line from the stillbirth of my precious dd, but that support group I go to has ladies there that lost their precious children 30+ years ago. I often look at babies and wonder if she would be that size now, I can't ever imagine getting to a place where I don't. I guess it is a symbol of the love we still carry for our children, a love that will live as long as we do. In a sort of sad way it is very beautiful that we do.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Mc is bad enough I just can't imagine how difficult and heartbreaking a stillbirth must be.

I've 2 friends who've been through the loss of stillbirth, one 11 years ago the other 22 years ago now. They both certainly remember and think of their babies all the time. One is very private and some people don't even know, the other is quite open but then hers was due to a drink driver so there's an element of disillusioning people of the idea that drinking and driving 'isn't that bad'.

We both have lost our babies. I imagine at any stage it doesn't get any worse
