Miscarriage at 12 weeks

So today we found out that baby had stopped growing at 8 weeks although the sac etc had continued to grow (as had my 'bump' I'm already in maternity jeans!) We've had a few very early losses but felt positive that this one was going well so I was gutted when all we could see was a little smudge on the screen. Going back Monday for a second scan but not holding out any hope. I had told a few people- work as I needed specific risk assessments due to my job, close family and a few friends, in a funny way is wish I'd told more people as I feel like that would make the baby more 'real' in a way.

Sorry to hear that hon. There's no doubt baby was real though, even if not for long enough x

So sorry to hear that - it must have been a horrible shock for you. I know what you mean about wishing more people knew. Only my partner, my parents and two friends know, and I think they think I've moved on so they don't talk about it anymore. Your baby was real - we bond so much with them as soon as we get a positive test. Everything you felt was real, and you will always have that.

Todays the day. 45 minutes and then I'm off to start my medical management. Considering hiding under the duvet and refusing to move .

I'm so sorry. I hope today goes as well as it can.

Thanks, back from hospital and waiting. Feeling achy, shivery, wobbly and a bit crampy but otherwise ok.
