1 healthy pregnancy 7 years ago, 6 miscarriages since!!

I have a beautiful 7yr old but sadly have had 6 miscarriages since. I am 28 and my husband is 32.

All my bloods have come back fine as have my husbands.

I'm really fed up of hearing from the hospital that it's just bad luck and we should just keep trying!! My head is all over the place.

Do any of you lovely ladies have any advise? Or even just to hear similar stories would be nice. I'm just so confused as my first pregnancy was faultless, I'm now wishing I had enjoyed it more as I am scared I will never get the experience again.
We have decided to keep trying but I don't know how much longer I can keep mentally strong!

I'm sorry for your losses. Going through repeat mc is heartbreaking and takes its toll. Come over to the rmc thread... Lots of good company and very knowledgeable ladies for lots of support and hand holding. Not quite so fast moving at the moment but it's been a lifeline to many of us.

Where about's do you live? Is there a pattern to your mc? Do they usually occur early on?

There is a clinic you can self refer to at Coventry run by prof quenby and prof brosen that may be worth investigating. You pay £360 but then they check your uterine natural killer cells and usually give you a treatment plan whether your results are high or normal to help aid implantation. Someone on the rmc thread will be able to explain more eloquently than me right now! Lots of us have had success after visiting them. Could be worth checking out.

Hi there. Very similar story to mine.
I had 7 mcs in total over an 8/9 year period.
Was referred to a specialist msc clinic and like you, had multiple tests all came back within normal limits.
No reason for them.
They were convinced that it was my age and that I was producing poor quality eggs. I was late 30`s.

I turned 40, had a further 2 miscarriages and we finally accepted that our 9 year old would be our only.
We gave up.

I visited my GP following a particularly awful miscarriage and asked for contraception.
Strange, completely bizarre as I had never even considered contraception after actively trying to conceive for so many years!

I was prescribed the pill. I needed to start to take it one the day that my period arrived apparently.
So I waited patiently, feeling more and more unwell.
As I never bothered to write dates down, I had no idea of my cycle.
What was the point,I just continually miscarried in my opinion.

So, feeling dreadful I got myself off to early pregnancy assessment unit......they knew me well!!
I just wanted a quick scan to confirm that I still had retained products from my last miscarriage, it was a particularly horrific one.

Anyhoo, there,on the scan screen, was a baby. A healthy, moving, heart beating baby of 7 weeks gestation.

The first one in nearly 10 years.

So, at 43 I had my boy.
I have a 12 year old and a 2 year old.
I'm knackered, absolutely shattered but unbelievably amazed every moment of every day that I look at him.

My aunt went through this she suffered a miscarriage. Then at 40 she had a boy. The body is strange don't give up hope relax more and eat well. Before I knew I was pregnant I had two bleeds I could have miscarried very scary thought. I relaxed gave my job up and waited paitiently to 42 weeks to the day thats how relaxed I was. How hectic is your life at the minute ? I think the reason why I got pregnant I started a new job, I enjoyed it and the pregnancy was so unexpected we weren't even trying. There was lifting involved so that probably brought on the bleeding. I have heard women say they were told they could never have children and end up having 1 or 2 children.

Missdiddlydo has given good advice. You have to go down every avenue so you know your body. I wish you luck.
