Did I Have a Miscarriage?

I just had my daughter in March 2015 and I got on the Mirena IUD. From previous experience with birth control, I do not have periods and have not bled since May of 2015 this time. For the last few months, I had noticed my mood changes, gaining weight, appetite changes, larger breasts, etc. All of a sudden yesterday, I just started bleeding (bright red blood) & cramping from my back to me pelvic area. I am terrified to find out if I may have had a miscarriage but not sure if it could just be a random period. Any advice or suggestions? Please help.

If you were pregnant and did miscarry, you'd still have enough hormone in your system to show positive on a HPT. so that would give you a definitive answer.
Very much hoping it's just erratic periods though as miscarriage really is the most horrific emotional blow I've ever experienced.
