Sorry in advance if this has TMI in it!
I thought I was 12 pg, have been having brown spotting and flecks of red for a few days. Period pain started yesterday, so I saw my midwife yesterday who referred me for a scan today.
They told me that my baby had stopped growing at 7 weeks. I'm absolutely devastated, and can't believe I didn't know before now.
I decided I want to have surgery done, as I just couldn't face the thought of going home and my baby coming out of me at some point. They gave me 2 scans, and filled in all the paperwork etc, and I have surgery booked for tomorrow morning .
But since I've been home this afternoon, blood has been pouring out of me, I was filling pads so fast, and I was having contraction like pains and was in agony. I rung the hospital to make sure I wasn't bleeding too much, and they said it sounds like I'm doing really well, and that's it's progressing how's it's supposed to. She said they'll scan me in the morning, to see if anything is left, and go from there, and if he baby has passed they won't do surgery.
I was definitely passing clots, but couldn't bare to look and see if it was my baby.
I was bleeding very heavily for about 2 - 3 hours, and since then it's really slowed down. I'm not bleeding anywhere near as much.
Surely that can't be it? Could I have really passed my baby already? Or do miscarriages often calm down for a bit and then get worse? I'm so confused and just want to know what is happening. I thought heavy bleeding went on for ages and ages, but I may have been wrong?
Sorry for the long ramble, it's been such a long and exhausting couple of days, I just feel numb now, but am dreading the pain of losing my baby hitting me soon. I just can't believe it's all happening.
