HCG levels not doubling

If anyone can share experiences, positive or otherwise, i would be grateful.

Tested early after ovulating on day 9 and i have short cycles anyway. No symptoms but had a feeling. First test negative then 2 positives with first response. Brown and pink spotting with twinges which has gone now.

Had blood done at 3 weeks 4 days (crazy early i know ) - reading was 135, then 48 hours later only 217. So definitely not doubled and only just 60% increase.

Have to go back tomorrow for another test.

Feeling anxious and out of control of things. Is it game over? I wish i knew either way so could get on with trying again if it's bad news.

My local early pregnancy unit said that a rise of 66% is ok for 48hrs as some people take a little longer to double. You aren't far of that so try not to give up hope yet. The not knowing is frustrating, I hope all goes well for youxx

The next reading 48 hours later was 322 do going up but not enough. I have to wait a whole week then go back again. This is so hard.

Scan for possible ectopic.

Sorry to hear that Winespider. This has happened to me twice and both times it has ended with mc (but this is not always the case). Do go to a&e if you get one sided pain as there is a risk of ectopic. They probably will not want to scan you until your levels reach 1000. Wishing you luck for next week x

Thank you for replying. For anyone reading this i had another blood test today that was 571 so up 77% in 48 hours and progesterone levels were good apparently. They've booked me for a scan next week so we'll see.

For anyone who is reading this (i am always grateful for threads with a conclusion) - i have now had 3 scans. The first was at 5.3 weeks and a gestational sac and yolk sac was found. Then at 7.3 a heartbeat but it was only measuring 6 weeks. I've had another scan today after bleeding and sadly there is no heartbeat and it measures the same as last time, 6 weeks. I should be 9.2 weeks. Back to the EPU in the morning to see what happens next. Feeling gutted. Thank you for reading.
