Twiddling my thumbs, when does AF arrive?

Docs tells me that its 4-8 weeks from the date of mc. Fair enough ... But I am extremely confused

16th April - miscarried (thats when it started and the sac passed)
20th April - ERPC for any remaining tissue (they suspected molar pregnancy)
28th April - Stopped bleeding, spotting and all

So now, which of these dates do I count the 4-8 weeks from? Sorry, I am one of those very anal, detail oriented people who drives even herself, crazy :) ...

PS - Did a pregnancy test and it was negative last week and I think I have been ovulating what with all the sticky jello coming out of my (sorry for tmi)

I'm so sorry for your loss. Have you confirmed whether or not you had a molar pregnancy? If it is, they will want to monitor your HCG levels to ensure they return to normal. It's a good sign that you've had a negative pregnancy test, but it would be useful to know what your levels are because that's probably the best indicator that you will begin ovulating again. When I had a complete molar, my periods didn't start again until my levels dropped below 25.

Oh no. Molar pregnancies are horrible. Thankfully mine wasn't but I found out all I could in the meanwhile out of anxiety. Its bad enough to have a mc. A molar is just salt in the proverbial wound.

They checked my levels too until the results came back negative. 2 days ago i had my last beta test and hCG was 12 so almost there. We've decided to wait until after first cycle to try again which is why I am so (im)patiently waiting for AF. :)

Hi nehagarg,

Im in a similar position in that I had natural miscarrige. Bled for 4.5 weeks.
Had surgical management for retained products. Had light bleed after the proceedure and spotting for the past week and now back to clear discharge.

The Hospital said my periods would start again 4-8 weeks from when the spotting stopped.

We are also waiting for first cycle to try again.

Good luck to you.

And to you too butterflygirl … So sorry for your loss. Its the worst thing, isnt it? :(

I was kind of hoping that it was 4-8 weeks from when mc first started. That way, there isn't very long to wait ;) … Just humouring myself, I guess, trying to pass the time. I so badly want to be pregnant again!!
