bobs I only inject into my stomach, just because I am most comfortable with that, and it works well. Never have tried anywhere else! Some here have done/are doing thighs as well.
And I'm really not sure if injecting in the upper arms is actually a good idea if you are doing it yourself, sounds rather awkward.

Justonemoretime · 06/05/2015 13:05

I did mostly tummy and occasionally upper thighs.

Bobsmum1 · 06/05/2015 13:12

Ok, thanks. Yes, at St Marys the nurse only talked about injecting into the tummy, but my nurse here says to stop using my stomach now, and its only been a week! I don't know how I'm going to find space for 36 weeks of injections!

Bobsmum1 · 06/05/2015 13:23

I would love to post a pic of my tummy to see if you guys think the bruising is within 'normal', but that would probably be totally gross and tmi?? Blush

mrsdiddlydoo · 06/05/2015 13:37

Heart beat and measuring 7+6. Thank you for the hand holding. I want to feel excited, but it's just onwards to the next thing. Today's being lack of symptoms despite seeing a bloody heartbeat less than 90 minutes ago. Wtf

cloud and girly we all deserve a bloody break but especially you two right now.

bobs I'm only on heparin and sticking to just using my tummy side to side.

mrsdiddlydoo · 06/05/2015 13:41

just sounds like daytime TV is calling. You've done a pretty good job getting this far. Perhaps it's time to put your feet up!

Marchgirl · 06/05/2015 13:49

What a relief diddly! (For about 5 mins anyway) lovely news.

Take heart cloud, Sorry you're spotting again but hopefully yours will be equally good news x

Justonemoretime · 06/05/2015 13:54

Great news on a reassuring scan, Mrsdiddlydoo Smile

Jady77 · 06/05/2015 14:00

I also tested that early Sebs, in fact I started at 5dpo, but to be fair that was because I wasn't sure if it was 9dpo or 5dpo. Bfp was on 9dpo or possibly 14dpo, CD25. Plus I keep testing now, I just can't seem to stop!!

longestlurkerever · 06/05/2015 14:02

Post away bobs - no such thing as tmi on here - but afraid I won't be the one to offer you advice as haven't taken heparin.

Jady77 · 06/05/2015 14:03

Ahh phone not updating properly, missed loads of posts there. That's excellent news Diddly, so relieved for you. On to the next milestone.

Diddly, really pleased for you ??

Jady, with you on the knicker checking!

Had an email from my Response trial nurse this morning to say they've been checking with other sites and found 50% of time at 6 week scan nothing is being seen apart from the pregnancy sack so not to give up hope at this stage. Trying to take a positive from that but it's hard as been in this situation before and the outcome wasn't great. But then again last time had hb at 6 week scan and it still failed. Who knows!

CheesyMash · 06/05/2015 14:20

Amazing scan news diddly Smile

Welcome bobsmum and sorry for your losses. Feel free to post a pic, I'm sure none of us will mind and those that have used heparin may be able to put your mind at ease. I have recently been diagnosed with factor v Leiden so will (most likely) also be taking heparin shots to term when next pg.

sebs I wasn't going to admit this (even to you girls) but I did a hpt this morning and I don't even know when or if I ov'd!! I think that makes me much more of a twatty twat, ha ha!! Blush My reasoning was (there is one honest!) what if I ov'd earlier than expected and the opks were showing a faint line due to picking up hcg....Confused No doubt I'll continue doing hpts every few days now though, I can't help it. Don't know why, it's not like it's a nice experience.

Cloud sorry the spotting has started again. I really do wish it would bugger off and leave you alone. Fingers crossed....x

Floweroct · 06/05/2015 14:21

MrsD woah that's fab!!! Thinking of girlie and Cloud

Bobs blimey those are some whopping bruises... I admit to just being fascinated and no help at all!

Cheesy that's the kind of thing I'd do....

On Day 6 and tried to get DP to DTD this morning which he was having none of it. Which is a bit frustrating and I don't want to nag, but let's face it, there are many things you can get from Tesco but a baby ain't one of them!!!!!!

Ok I haven't ov'd yet but I want to try and DTD as much as I can to maximise my chances...

It's just frustrating and I don't want to whine and nag and be fucking annoying but I admit it does worry me. Why can't he just shag me senseless for a week ????

sebsmummy1 · 06/05/2015 15:09

Ha ha Brummie. This is why baby making used to go hand in hand with being newly married at 16. You actually want to shag all the time then. In your forties what you want to do is shag every now and then and otherwise have a nice cup of tea and read the paper Wink

Delighted for you MrsD Grin

Brummiegirl15 · 06/05/2015 15:50

Preggo colleague is talking to other colleague about how tired she is and kicking in ribs.

Angry Sad Envy

I am resisting urge to say "I'd give anything to be complaining about that but I can't"

Got counselling tonight. Can't. Fucking. Come. Soon. Enough

longestlurkerever · 06/05/2015 15:51

Bobsmum - ouch, it looks sore! But Tiny showed me her first heparin bruise in real life and though it wasn't as big as your biggest one it was similar in appearance and bigger than your smaller ones, so in my inexpert opinion I would say it's within the expected range. What we have to go through eh?

Great news mrsd. Hoping for more of that!

Totally sympathise on the early testing. I dread to think how much I have spent on those sticks over the years.

Brummie hugs. Super-frustrating and upsetting when oh's are immune to our advances but you've caught easily in the past so I don't think it'll be long before you have your bfp.

sasha yes, probably. One thing that makes me wonder whether ac was the missing ingredient though is that, as well as this one being sticky, I also got pregnant much quicker than usual (1st cycle which is unheard of for me). If it did tip the progesterone balance and make implantation happen more easily then it would account for both the quicker bfp and the fact it stuck. I don't think it's a miracle cure by any means but I have PCOS and some relatively minor hormonal changes (eg by losing weight or following a low GI diet) can make all the difference in the right circumstances.

Bobsmum1 · 06/05/2015 16:28

Thanks longest thats good to know.

Hugs to brummie i have exactly the same probs with my oh. Men can be so rubbish! Flowers

longestlurkerever · 06/05/2015 17:21

bobs I heard that if you make sure there are no drips on the needle before injecting it bruises less. Think others might have some tips too.

Justonemoretime · 06/05/2015 17:26

You shouldn't need to 'squirt' the syringe to clear air (like you see on the telly Wink ), just take the top off and pinch a bit of skin and inject. I used to get my dh to do it because I couldn't look Hmm

Bobsmum1 · 06/05/2015 17:46

Thanks, yeah I have been shaking the drips off. longest i just can't bring myself to inject an air bubble though!! Goes against everything I ever learned from Casualty / Greys Anatomy etc [big grin]
I think it might be to do with the angle I'm injecting at, just because the bruises on the left tend to be small, but the biggies are on the right.....
