5 week miscarriage now week late pregnancy

I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks on the 13th of march. I went to the hospital that night they did an hcg test on me an said that it was back to 4 already. I bleed like a normal period until the 17th. By my calendar I was supposed to start my period 5 days ago. Should I do a pregnancy test or is it normal to have a late period after miscarriage?

Hi, sorry for your loss.
My normal 28 day cycle extended to 35 days after both my later miscarriages( at 11 weeks and 12 weeks) but went back to normal the following month.
When I had an earlier miscarriage at 6 weeks I ovulated and conceived on cd14, if you counted the first day of miscarriage bleeding as cd1.
The only way you'll know will be to either take a test or wait and see!
