Miscarriage or Ectopic?! I'm so confused!

Hi,

I started bleeding on the 27/02, 1wk after my period. Didn't really think too much about it until I was passing clots, cramping and having back pain. I took a test and it shows positive, done another the next day and it's was positive again. I went Drs and they were confused, referred me to the EPAU and they scanned me, nothing showed as they said it'd be too early (I would be 3wks & 6days) and sent me for bloods and then repeated over the next 4days. My levels were 78, then 45 and then up to 60. I had a scan today and nothing showed again and the Dr said to wait till Monday for more bloods. I've done another test and its still positive and I'm still bleeding, having cramps and back pain. I'm worried and confused what it could be. Has anyone ever experienced this or something similar? I'm so confused....

Hi Debbie, sorry to hear you're having a difficult and stressful experience. it's horrendous the waiting for results isn't it? I've been told that tests can stay positive for a while after a miscarriage so it might not be worth continuing to check with those. The best you can probably do is wait to see your doc again and in the meantime try to relax (easier said than done, I know!) and take care of yourself. try to find something to distract yourself with and take it one day at a time. many people bleed throughout their pregnancies and go on to have healthy babies so don't give up hope yet. I hope it works out for you x

Hi beanlovesb,

Thank you for your kind words. I think I'm finding the fact that its pointing towards an Ectopic the hardest. Hopefully Monday something positive will show and if they scan they'll see something. The not knowing is the hardest. The next few days will seem like forever. X

Waiting is the hardest, try taking it day by day, even hour by hour. Find a distraction if you can to help get you through. fx for you
