What dose of Clexane?

Just a quick question for anyone who has had multiple miscarriages due to a blood clotting disorder... if you were on clexane, what dose were your prescribed? My last pregnancy failed despite heparin so I was supposed to be put on something stronger this time round, but consultant has written to GP to prescribe 40mg Clexane once daily. Does this sound right or has anyone had a higher dose?
Grateful thanks if anyone can advise... definitely more knowledge on here than my GP has!

Anyone? I know I should just try to get hold of my consultant but they're hard to track down and also I find talking about the whole thing upsetting so avoid it as much as possible Sad

Anyone I have heard of has either 20 mg or 40mg once a day. I was on 20 mg but I don't have a clotting issue, I had it for cytoprotective effects on the placenta. Repost on the recurrent miscarriage thread - most of them don't read the rest of the board.

Thanks Baking, that's really helpful. I've been on and off the recurrent MC thread over the last couple of years but feel bad that I don't manage to keep up with it all!

I have 2 clotting issues and was originally on 40mg clexane once daily (prescribed by fertility clinic) but was changed on to fragmin 5000iu once daily by the NHS consultant once i was pregnant as it was cheaper!

Thanks Dave sounds like they're not short-changing me then! This time will start from BFP rather than having to wait til six week scan, so hopefully will make the difference.
