Not sure what to do

Hi there, looking for some advice as not sure if I am miscarrying and not sure what to do.
I'm usually quite regular but my period has been a bit late (two weeks), hadn't really picked up as been busy at work and started to get some cramping a week later and some spotting so thought it was on the way.
I usually get some cramping for the first couple hours of my period which is quite late. Over the last 24 hours or longer cramping has been constant (but manageable) and really heavy bright red blood with big clots. I've been going to the loo a lot and the last couple of times had a two bigs clots just 'sort of fall out'. A really strange sensation.
I'm not registered with a doctor. I think maybe if I am then it much be quite early. I haven't told my other half, we've just thought it's been period pains but now I'm not so sure. I haven't been pregnant before so don't know what to expect! Trying to rest in bed.
I guess I don't know what I'm thinking so freaking out a bit!

Firstly, I'm sorry that you're feeling worried. It's not nice being confused by your body.

Secondly, the only way to know if you're pregnant or have very recently been pregnant is to take a test. If the test is positive, you may sadly be experiencing an early miscarriage. At this stage, there's not much the doctor can do. If you get a positive test you could try going to your local early pregnancy unit for an early scan. Again there's nothing they can do if you are miscarrying. But it may reassure you.

Thirdly, sometimes your body just throws a crazy heavy period at you for no reason!

Just to reassure you, unless you're bleeding very heavily or are in a lot of pain, you're not in danger.
