Time off before smm and after???

I have other posts so will be brief. I have been bleeding for 11 days, scan show small empty sac, hormone level very low I am back at hospital tomorrow for another blood test ect and I am expecting to need smm.

I was off last thur, fri and this Monday but was in work today. I have told work I probably won't be in after hospital tomorrow but there is a lot of pressure to go back, I don't feel ill or devastated but I am struggling to focus and work is quite full on.

Is anybody willing to tell me how long they hAve taken off or give advice?

Get a sick note, work can't rush u if U r signed off, at the moment I am on shorter hours related to a low mood, as I am not depressed I am just very sad with timings etc, see if ur gp can help, mine have been very helpful, jus tell them at the. Hospital and even they should be able to sign u off

Thanks baby am at back at the hospital tomorrow and the staff are lovely so I will ask them. Does anybody know if a sister can write sick note or does it have to be a doctor?

Hospital want to do wait and see if will happen naturally as there was no yolk and only 5 week sac they think it will be fine.

I have phone appointment with new Gp today she was lovely as when I asked for a week she suggested I return to the following Monday. I am not quite sure what to do with myself at home though!

I am so sorry you are going through this. I started bleeding at 6 wks ish and it all came out naturally. I bled for a week and worked all this time, thinking it was so early,just like a period etc. the following week I felt a bit more teary, then the week after I had 2 days off work cos I couldn't stop crying.

I think everyone is different, but I wish I had been a bit kinder to myself at the start as it feels like it still hurts now, 6 weeks on and work is really not that important if it will stop you grieving.

I'm glad they did that for u, take as much time as u need, mine was 6 months ago I haven't been back full time since, few days here and there I jus can't cope if u need more time u jus ask ur doctor and they should help , mine have been very helpful, don't pressure urself to be ok if your not.

In the time u have off use it to cry if u need too, if u feel like u can't cry any more then use the time to focus on making yourself feel better, and if it's not helping being at home u are able to still go in to work ? If u need the distraction maybe ask for like 4 hr shifts or something

Unfortunately as a teacher work is pretty full on and I don't think I could manage the long days at the moment. I plan to work half days and home next week to catch up on paper work.

must be very hard to be in a school with a bunch of kids :( hugs your way

I work in secondary so my kids are not so small. I have just been on Facebook and the first post is of a work collegue's scan picture and the second is a photo of a school friend's new born. I feel sick now. I am obviously not dealing with this as well as I had convinced myself.

Work collegue is not the easiest to deal with I had one with the same due date made things v hard

You were dealing with it well on that day, one thing I have learnt is every day U will feel different but it's not a bad thing it's just sometime. U can cope and sometimes u can't, it's normal to feel different every day I have days were I jus cry and some rare days I even smile that at least I got to see my baby cuz some people don't even make it to a scan
