ERPC tomorrow and bleeding, will they cancel?

Just that really. MMC discovered a week ago at 13+1, I'm booked in tomorrow for a confirmation scan and surgery. I've been bleeding on and off since Friday though, just tiny amounts until today, when it's been heavier but still not very heavy.

Will they cancel the surgery because of this? I just want it to be over and kind of had it set in my head that it would be finished by the end of the week and I could move on. I'm worried.

Hi suz, I had three MMCs, the first two only discovered after I started bleeding, and I was always offered surgery despite that. I don't think they will cancel the surgery.

Good luck Flowers.

I had this, and bled a LOT the night before I was due in, was admitted as they feared haemorrhage, kept me in over night, after two more big losses it all stopped for the night, the next day I was scanned again - they saw hardly anything had actually come away (all surprised given what they saw the night before) and went ahead with the ERPC anyway - much to my relief, as the pain the previous night was awful

Thanks both of you, that's put my mind at rest.

Oh goodness... so I went in and didn't get the ERPC, because the foetal pole has grown. I have to go back in a week to confirm. I know, rationally, that there is no chance this is a baby and it's fine, it's more likely just hormones. But I know I'm going to spend the week hoping.

Put my mind at rest someone, if I should have been 14 weeks now and the sac was 10 weeks at both scans, then the pole grew from 3.8mm to 6.4mm, there is no way this is a viable pregnancy right? I know it can't be, and I'm bleeding anyway, but it's messed with my mind somewhat Sad

oh gosh, how stressful for you.

I have nothing useful on that change I'm afraid, but I would just recommend trying to not worry / think about it until you know more I guess (easier said than done, I know)

Thanks, I'm feeling better about it today, have been bleeding on and off so hopefully it will resolve itself. The worst thing is the glimmer of hope I can't seem to get rid of!
