Hi
Am nearly 14weeks pg, started bleeding just over a week ago, like a period, bleeding stopped earlier this week. Had a scan weekend just gone and baby was ok. Now I've got akind of bloody discharge and I'm starting to worry again. My first pg was fine and had no probs... Has anyone any advice?! Midwife is far from sympathetic!!

If I was you I'd phone NHS Direct and tell them how worried you feel - hopefully they'll be able to put your mind at rest. I've heard of people who bled all through pregnancy without ill effects.

hello redclover, i'm a newbie but had to respond to you as I know how scary it is...I bled later in my pregnancy and there were no probs. My best friend had exactly the same situation as you and bled until she was nearly 26 weeks - her DS is now 7 mths. To be honest if you speak to most women they will tell you that they bled at some stage. It's very frightening when you have got through the so called 'danger' time and then something like this happens. Am sending you loads of positive vibes.......

Thanks for your advice, it's just been worrying me whether this is normal etc. I know there's not much can be done if I am going to miscarry, but it's reassuring to know other people have gone through this and come out of it ok!! At the mo I'm finding it hard to get excited about being pg in case the worst happens, so thankyou for giving me something postivie to think about
