Manual vacuum aspiration yesterday

Has anyone else had one? I've had an ERPC before but this was new to me.
Went in yesterday morning for a scan at 11 weeks and told another MMC. It wasn't unexpected as I had a feeling something wasn't right
The whole procedure wasn't painful, just uncomfortable and it was reassuring being scanned internally straight after to check everything was out.
My bleeding is a bit like a heavy period, although medium at the moment, but the cramping is a bitch on and off. Presumably it's because my uterus is getting back to normal size still?
Anyone have any experience or idea of how long the cramping and pains might last? I'm trying to stay distracted and upbeat with the kids and it's Christmas tomorrow..it's just getting me down a bit.

For me it was heavy for about 4 days then some bleeding getting less and less over the subsequent fortnight.
So sorry for your loss, I hope you find some peace. It's ok that it gets you down sometimes - your feelings are valid and you have a right to make space for your grief. Kids can still have a fun christmas even though mummy isn't feeling great.

Sorry didn't answer that from your original post did I. IIRC the cramping was negligible after 36 hours or so - I remember that I didn't need to take painkillers after the second night since - but everyone's body is different. I hope you get a chance to take things easy at least some of the time.

I'm sorry for your loss. It's the same thing as an ERPC as far as I know.
