8 week unresolved ectopic pregnancy

Hi ladies, I found out two days ago that i had an ectopic pregnancy. I am 8 weeks along, i went for an early ultrasound due to bleeding. The ultrasound was confusing and i had an MRI aswell. The baby no longer had a heart beat but is stuck half in my fallopian tube half in the horn of my uterus. Cornual pregnancy...I received a dose of Methotrexate to help pass the pregnancy. Im afraid its not going to work. Does anyone have any similar stories to share?

Hi there, I have had an ectopic pregnancy but it was left to pass naturally 'expectant management' but didn't want to leave your post unanswered. The hospital will check your HCG every 48 hours to check your levels are falling appropriately. If they did not fall as they should another dose may be administered, they may offer surgery or they may simply advise to wait it out. I am so sorry you are going through this.

Wow HazzaB89 i have yet to hear of anyone being allowed to wait it out. I asked my dr. to do that and he highly discouraged me. How far along where you? how did it all work out in the end?
