No auntie Flo after mc

I had a miscarriage on 8th Oct and went in for "the op" on Friday 10th Oct. I bled for about 10 days then it stopped.

We desperately want another baby and haven't been using anything but I have been peeing on pregnancy tests and ovulation strips like they are going out of fashion.

So negative pregnancy tests, negative ovulation strips and no period either!

Is anyone else in this situation or can offer me any advice?

It's called the WTF ( what the ...) cycle. Very frustrating but it can take weeks for your cycle to kick back in, particularly after a MMC as your body needs to reset itself. Sometimes that first cycle you don't ovulate either, though on the other hand some women get pregnant again without having a period. The longest I've heard of is 12 weeks..... Hope it's nowhere near that for you.

Hi baking tins, thank you - it is driving me insane! My partner thinks I must be due on soon as I'm getting a bit pmt ish - snappy and tired but I think I'm just really frustrated.

I am going to give it another week or so then go back to the doctors x

My first one was 6 nearly 7 weeks after my op and the bleeding - mine was weird I think I'm now having my second one which seems worse Soo far a lot darker and clots etc

Ooh eck, I didn't have a period after my last mc (I've had 7)

Turned out it was because I was pregnant again.
7 weeks by all accounts.

It can happen...

Babyangelbean - my doc said that was a possibility. Hope it's not too painful.

Jimijak - congratulations!!! I hope that will happen to me but so far all tests I've done have been negative ??

Had my first miscarriage in July this year around the end of the month.

My usual regukar as clockwork AF date is 12th.

Continuous bleeding from spotting, sac and baby out complete at home, then bleeding stopped after about 2 weeks. It was like the lochia and recovery after a healthy birth.

Started again a week later.

Since then I've had no ovulation/PMT symptoms atall preceding my usual AF date, but continued to bleed around the same time of the month I lost the baby, creeping forward another day each month.

I'm just presuming my body is slowly moving forwards to my usual 12th date. At this rate, it's looking to be around 6 months plus I predict before I'm 'back to usual'. Bearing in mind I am 46 though.

I had no idea a miscarriage could throw AF into such turmoil :/

It's been 10 weeks exactly for me today, and I was just coming on to ask the same thing.
I also had a bleed about 2 weeks after I passed the baby and placenta, but nothing in the 8 weeks since that.. I had loads ovulation symptoms and a positive opk around Halloween but many bfns and no period since..

Let's hope auntie Flo arrives soon for us all and let's asks ants for some big fat positives ??
