Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

How long will it be?

I have a re-scan on Thursday after last week showed baby measuring 3 weeks behind. It is certain this means I will miscarry (or I got a bfp a week BEFORE conception).

I have been waiting for this miscarriage for a week but my body is showing no signs. I want erpc asap to get this over with. Will they be able to book me in when I have scan on Thurs? Will it be done quickly?

That depends entirely on your EPU and when they have a theatre slot available. Can you phone them before Thursday and have a chat about it? maybe they'd provisionally book you a space pending the scan to confirm. It is mentally and emotionally very tough in the limbo between scans, you don't want to be waiting again if surgery is needed. Flowers

Just echoing baking - ring the ward/unit where the ERPC's are done. My first mmc was found on a thurs, and couldn't get the ERPC until following weds. I kicked up a massive fuss and got it moved to the Monday. My second ERPC 2 weeks ago, baby had no HB on the Friday and got ERPC on the Monday. My hospital (Tunbridge Wells) only do 2 ERPC's a day (max 3 if pushed) first thing in the morning. Each hospital is different but it doesn't hurt to call for advice x

I agree with phoning the ward where the ops are actually done ( in my case at Lancaster it's the gynae ward). I spent 48 hrs waiting for an emergency erpc after starting and then failing to mc after medical management. At one point there were 19 people ahead of me on the main theatre list. It is far better to be on a planned list if you can get on one.

And I should have said, I'm so sorry for your loss.
