BBT after mc

Hi

I had a natural mc 3.5 weeks ago at 7+4 weeks and I'm desperate to conceive again. I chart my bbt and cm and at first it looked pretty normal.

I am normally triphasic and I have long cycles. My pattern this month looked ok, but obviously I was expecting it to not be normal due to mc. Have had three lots of fertile cm and two temp spikes but no sustained raised temp to show I've ovulated.

Now it seems to have settled down at cd25 into 5 days of relatively the same low temp, nothing really happening and cm definitely not fertile, as if I've already ovulated.

I wondered if anyone has had similar experience please and if anyone knows whether it's possible still to ovulate even if temp doesn't stay high?

I know I'm likely not pregnant so am just keen for af to come now so that I can get on with things.

Hi Leela, I remember you from your earlier posts, so sorry for your loss. I'm sorry I'm not much help here as I've never used bbt before, I have always gone on ewcm and mild cramps as a sign. Have you had any ovulation pains? Also, have you had a negative hpt before ttc? I've read that once you have this your cycle tends to start up again and the ovulation signs are more reliable. I think I have just or am just about to ovulate and am also ttc. I had bad pains on my left side last week and when I went for a scan to check everything had cleared they saw a dominant follicle there and from what I have read you tend to ovulate around a week after this. I had a bit of cm yesterday but not had as much as I would usually have prior to mc. Sorry I'm not much help! Good luck and I hope you get your bfp very soon!!

Thanks Flower so much for the support and advice . I've had some stabby ovary pains so I did think I had ovulated.

I waited til I got bfn and had blood test at hospital to confirm hcg had dropped to normal. Cycle seemed normal until these last few days with flat temperatures. I guess I'll just see what happens.

Good luck to you x

Hi leela I'm sorry for your loss. The cycle after a MC is not-so-affectionately referred to as a wtf cycle because it can be so hard to predict what is going on. Some women ovulate and conceive immediately but it's not unusual to have an anovulatory cycle. Hope AF (or a BFP) turns up soon so you know where you are.
