4 weeks still bleeding

Hello,
Firstly, sorry for anyone reading this and being in these circumstances.
I had a mm for a mmc 4 weeks ago and am still bleeding Sad
It has seemed like it has settled down several times over the last 4 weeks but then the bleeding has come back each time, sometimes worse. Lately it is sometimes light but mixed with lots of clear discharge (sorry tmi).
I just wondered if anyone else had had this experience and how long it took to get back to 'normal'?
I had a scan on wed to check everything had passed and they said it was clear but I had a thick lining. I have been having pain in my left side and they said they could see a dominant follicle on the left ovary and so my body was preparing to ovulate. I was under the impression that this wouldn't happen until the bleeding stopped and hcg was 0 (it was at 15 on mon). Again, anyone else had this experience?
Thanks xxx

Sorry not really but I had a scan to confirm my mc this week and she pointed out that there was still a lot of lining to lose but it should only taje a few days due to the amount of bleeding I was having. She also pointed out some potential eggs. She said I would prob ovulate in sbout two weeks. So quite similar I guess? Sorry don't really know what im trying to say but just that it sounds normal perhaps?

Flower so sorry....

I had mm and recall the bleeding lasting for around 6 weeks. It petered off but It seemed to last forever....

Mention it to Dr also....

Yale care Thanks

Thanks for your replies. So sorry for your losses too ash and scoop.

Think I'll resign myself to it carrying on for a bit longer yet then, if it stops any earlier it will be a bonus. I've had checks done for infections and anemia and they came back ok, so I think dr and EPU are only concerned if I have a heavy bleed again or sign of infection.

Just seems a wasted opportunity if we can't ttc due to bleeding...

X

How are you doing Flower?
I totally understand the frustrating over how long it all takes x

Hi fifi, still bleeding and it's 5 weeks today!! I really thought it was stopping earlier this week when I thought I was due to ovulate and am so confused now. On another post bakingtins referred to it as a wtf cycle! it's definitely feeling that way!! Thanks for your reply x

It's so annoying isn't it. Just think that by the time Christmas comes, you'll be past it all and back in to normal cycles. Enjoy the wine and pate whilst you can ??x

PurplePoppySeed · 25/10/2014 10:44

Sorry flower Thanks I had similar - probably 2-3 weeks heavy bleeding (even after an erpc) then another 2-3 light bleeding until I got the heaviest period if ever experienced but only lasted 2 days! After that, back to normal cycles. Fingers crossed its nearly over for you xx

Flower29 · 26/10/2014 11:41

Thanks poppy, so sorry that sounds awful! not heard of it lasting that long with erpc. Do you know if you had anything retained or thick lining etc?
It's a bit like a period now so not sure if it is that or not, seems there's no point trying to guess what's happening either. Can't remember what it's like to not have to wear a pad Sad I think I'm best looking forward like fifi says and hoping by Xmas it will be over, or even better that I might be up the duff by then! Grin

Hi Flower I hope you're feeling ok?Just thought I'd add that I went into boots today, bought 5 packs of the most heavy duty always pads, 3 packs of pregnacare and 2 boxes of paracetamol... I'm hoping no one noticed what an odd combo it was Wink xxx

fififolle · 28/10/2014 10:27

Great combo Erica, I'm adding coenzyme q10 to the mix too!

Flower29 · 28/10/2014 20:01

I bought pads and pregnancy tests the other day! My bleeding has tapered off today to just spotting, hhhmmmmm wonder how long this will last for! Hmm x

I'm so happy today, I had an ERPC under GA yesterday and had v light bleeding this morning finishing with none this evening! I can wear pjs (new ones as it's my b'day) without pants! It's the first time in two and a half weeks.

Flower29 · 29/10/2014 09:35

Fifi how did the erpc go on mon? Still no sign of bleeding? That's great if it's stopped already. Sorry it's probably not been a great birthday, mine was 2 days after I had mm, rubbish!! I had a clean pad last night and this mornings is still clean!! And nothing when I wipe, yey! I know I shouldn't get so excited but it really feels good, I feel a promotion to panty liners coming on soon (still daren't risk bare pants yet), woo hoo! Xxx

Hi Flower the ERPC was fine, thanks. All I really knew about was the waiting around before theatre and the extreme grogginess afterwards- I came home and slept for 13 hrs fully clothed!
I enjoyed my birthday, despite the glamorous surgical stockings and heavy duty antibiotics!
I still have barely any bleeding, just a tiny amount of mucousy red blood. Fab news that yours has finally (fingers crossed) stopped. Xx
