How long will I bleed for?

Hi all. I'm currently miscarrying, but I wondered how long before I stop bleeding?? I'm sick of it because it's a constant reminder, along with the cramps. Im still passing tissue, and it's been 7 days. Found out on the 4th day of bleeding (Thursday) that I was actually losing my baby. I was 11 weeks.

jade I'm so sorry you lost your baby. IME it's been 10-14 days of bleeding (at 8-10 weeks) but everyone is different. If it carries on more than a few weeks you need a follow up scan to make sure there's no retained tissue. I hope it is over soon for you.

I recently miscarried at 5.5 weeks, when attending my hospital appointment they told me that when a urine pregnancy test shiws negative that indicates that all the tissue has passed and the bleeding will last a couple of days more.

nat how long you test positive for depends how high the HCG was in the first place. I've tested positive for 3 weeks after MC at 10 weeks, more than a week after bleeding stopped. Conversely, in very early losses, a negative test often precedes the bleed.

I was bleeding really heavily for those days, and was told all the tissue had gone, after passing golf ball sized clots I wasn't surprised..! They did a pregnancy test there, and that showed negative, after only getting a positive a week and a half before :( I'm hoping the bleeding stops soon, it's been 8 days so far :( it's a constant reminder and that's what's killing me.

Im sorry for your loss. I recently went through a miscarriage at the same time as yourself 11weeks. Again like yourself I was bleeding fairly heavily for about 10days. Sorry for tmi but I then had light bleeding for about 5 days after that. The two week after that I spotted about 6 times and yesterday I think I started my period. Today I again passed a large clot which really surprised me as nobody had told me to expect anything like that and again acted like a reminder when I thought thinks were back to normalish so do be prepared that it can go on for some time but I've been assured it's normal. The miscarriage association are really great if you are ever unsure if something is normal etc.
