Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

Early miscarriage.

I was told at 5 weeks my hormone levels were too low and not increasing enough that I would likely misscarry.

Well today I have started bleeding very heavy fresh red blood.

This pregnancy was a surprise as I had a coil and would have been dc4. Which me and DH had agreed to stop at 3.

However I have been so devastated that dh has said we can try for dc4 if I stay mentally well ( I have bipolar 1) for 6 months and if I still want dc4 in six months.

I feel really sad this is technically my 6 pg second miscarriage and I had one forced termination.

I just feel like my body failed and I keep wondering if I wasn't on so much medication maybe I wouldn't have misscarried.

spacebound I'm so sorry you are going through a loss at the moment. By far the most likely explanation for an early MC is that there was something genetically wrong with the foetus, so in fact your body is doing exactly the right thing in recognising that this pregnancy can't progress. It doesn't make it any less sad, but you don't need to be beating yourself up over it. The medication is something to discuss with your doctor if you decide to TTC Dc4, there may be safer alternatives. Flowers

Thank you so much. I feel like I am alone because DH and my mum were both unhappy with the pg but I was happy. So I feel like I'm the only one upset over this loss.

I want to have a tattoo with baby's edd. I feel that would give me something to hold on to. I feel very upset.

I'd suggest not getting a tattoo in the heat of the moment. I had a forget-me-not necklace for my first loss and after a while I couldn't bear to be literally carrying it round with me. Something to honour your baby is a great idea, but nothing irreversible in case you end up feeling like I did. Plant a tree, make a memory box, write a poem or letter, release a balloon, light a special candle, choose a piece of jewellery. TBH due dates are tough enough as it is. Maybe if you feel the same way when you get to EDD you could have a tattoo done then?
I'm so sorry that you are not getting more support from those close to you.

Agree with bakintins re the tattoo.

I'm so sorry for your loss, OP. Having a miscarriage is very traumatic (or it certainly was for me). I'm am sorry that you aren't getting support.

Thanks both I will definitely think long and hard and make sure before I get a tattoo done. But the other suggestions sound great.

Hi lady's ok here's my story I am 32 yrs old. And I have been trying for 16 yrs to have a baby. I never got pg with my late husband and we were together for 13yrs. Then final after being with my boyfriend for a yr we got pg but right away I started spotting so I went to the hospital and they said I was 2wks. They said my levels were 110 but they were also going up bc I went back the next day. So I never stop spotting and then it got heavier so I went to the midwife around 6wks and she also told me all was fine. But I new that all wasn't. So I got more blood work done and after I left I started bleeding a cramping but I thought it was normal. So yesterday at 8wks almost 9wks I was going back for an ultrasound to see my baby but all wasn't ok as soon as we walked in she told me I had A miscarriage that at 6wks my levels were only 34. But she told me there hopes as your very fertile after u have one. So that being said I pray that's there hope out there. Thanx for listening sorry it's so long.
