Physical symptoms after missed miscarriage

3 weeks ago we lost our first baby at 11 weeks gestation (baby died at 8 weeks) Had the ERPC 3 days later and physically felt a huge relief as I had been in a lot of pain.
A week later experienced some lower back pain but no other symptoms. Had 2 urine tests, one showed an infection the other one done the following day showed NO infection but they gave me antibiotics anyway. Am still getting some back pain and this morning woke up covered in a rash. This may not be connected to the miscarriage but I am paranoid now - has anyone else had similar symptoms? I don't feel sick or really unwell but am below par and wonder how long it takes for hormones to settle down?

Don't know what it could be, but it would be best to see your doctor to gt it checked out

are you allergic to the tablets or have you already finished taking them

sorry to hear your sad news.. I also found out I have a missed miscarriage at my dating scan yesterday (14wks) and am deciding what step to take next.

I would definately go to the doctors, your antibiotics may be causing you to have a rash? and if you had 2 diferent results you may be in the clear and not have an infection at all?
Feeling generally unwell comes with taking antibiotics i'm afraid!

Hi everyone.

My colleagues made me go to the walk in clinic - so hard to get a doctors appt these days. Anyway it is an allergic reaction to antibiotics. As if I haven't been through enough, I woulnd't be surprised if my leg fell off tomorrow!
After the ERPC they gave me a leaflet but it didn't really explain the hormonal changes and how that affects us after miscarriage.
Blueamema - sorry to hear about your miscarriage, there is lots of advice on the web about what to do next. I chose the ERPC because I was in pain and wanted to be able to move on but I can appreciate some women want to go through it naturally. Whatever you decide has to be right for you, you know your body and what you can handle. Good luck but come back if yu need any more thoughts, it's still very recent for us but it does help to chat.

Thanks for your advice and I will definately get back to you to let you know how things have gone. Just looking forward to getting a bit more sleep tonight as last night was horrid!

I've been through a natural m/c and an ERPC with two diff m/c. It is really whatever you think is best-I chose to have a natural m/c first time as I wanted to prove to myself that it was really over and that there wasn't any hope. The 2nd time I had the ERPC due to complications, but by the time I had the op I was completely sure in my own mind that there wasn't any hope (this was a missed m/c)
