Ttc after mc- positive stories please !

I have recently suffered a mmc, went to our 12 week scan only to be told the baby had stopped growing at 9 weeks and had no heartbeat, utterly devastating, as this was my first pregnancy and I was so excited. I had an ERPC two days after my scan. I am so thankfull I chose this option, I couldn't have dealt with the waiting of miscarrying naturally.

We are ready to start trying again as my partner and I know this is what we want and the misscarriage has brought us so much closer together.

Has any one got any positive stories to share on ttc after mc ?

I was years ttc #2 only to mc at 9 weeks. The most comforting advice I got was that it starts to hurt (emotionally)less after your due date - it did (around the date). My natural mc took 5 weeks of horrendous flooding so yes, ime you were better off with an ERPC. I failed to get pregnant for months after, including some with fertility drugs only to get pregnant with a baby due 11 months to the day after my 2nd baby had been due. Third pregnancy went perfectly smoothly and he is now a school-going Big Boy!!

I had a MMC found at 12 week scan last April, despite having had normal scans at 7 and 9 weeks, seen heartbeat etc. Had an ERPC, one AF then pregnant the following month. My beautiful DD is now 15 weeks, and perfect although the first few months of pregnancy were incredibly tough as I was constantly terrified that I was going to miscarry again.

I asked GP about trying again, he said the only reason to wait was for dating purposes and you are more fertile for 6 months following a miscarriage. We didn't actively try to conceive after it, just didn't use contraception and figured it would happen once my body was ready.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

I had a horrible mmc after a healthy first pregnancy... but DC2 was born a year to the day later, and and DC3 on the third anniversary of the lost baby's EDD (with another much less traumatic mc inbetween).

The anniversaries are tricky. The subsequent pregnancies were frightening - on permanent "knicker watch" waiting for something to fail. But I got through because what other choice have we?

I m/c at 6/7 weeks in Jan this year. I had had a previous normal pregnancy so was a big shock.
I am now 12 weeks pg and all going well so far!

When I conceived my son 4 years ago, it took a year of trying. Ttc number 2 took even longer, then I miscarried at 8 weeks. The following month we dtd once, and bam, I'm pregnant again. So I definitely believe that you are more fertile after a mc. Good luck

Sorry for your loss REBECCA, I had 3 miscarriages and a stillborn baby, however I now have a baby girl who will be celebrating her first birthday next week and I am also 18 weeks pregnant now.
It is hard when you suffer a loss and I never thought I would be able to be a mother, but here I am now so things can work out. They say everything happens for a reason however I am yet to understand why I suffered so many losses. But I am finally happy now and no my body is capable of carrying a healthy baby.
